2011 Easter Minis Revisited {Oklahoma City Photographer}

Upon getting ready for 2012 Easter minis, I realized I never blogged about 2011 Easter Minis! Mini sessions are a wonderful way to get to know each other and get your children more relaxed with me as their photographer. They’re quick and painless, so little heads with little attention spans do really well with them. Plus, I always have a plethora of props and decor on hand to fit in the Easter/spring theme. It’s all about having fun, getting some great pics, and saving some serious money. For $100 you get a 15-20 minute session, fully edited photos in color and black and white, and all photos on CD with a printing release (approximately 10 images.) This is a savings of $250! Easter mini sessions are scheduled for March 24th & 25th this year. There will be both indoor and outdoor setups with spring decor and live bunnies! H made for the most gorgeous bride! I absolutely love shooting bridal portraits because you can be much more creative than during the madness of the big day. We met one gorgeous morning at the newly renovated Myriad Gardens. So many awesome places to shoot there. She definitely turned heads there in her beautiful dress. And her shoes were smokin’! Not that their parents are going to appreciate this comment, but how striking are their children going to be someday??!! I guess we’d better get them married, first, though! I went to the darkside to capture their story…it was the perfect spot since they went to OU together…there were just way too many great areas to shoot- we literally shot into the dark. K & K- thank you so much for choosing Mollipop Photography to tell this part of your story. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you. Here is further proof that I have the most gorgeous family in the world. Excuse my bias. And that I enjoy torturing myself. This whole photo session Christmas gift thing has got to stop. The photos of them get better every year…and I am swamped with too many photos to edit. This was an extra special session because my wonderful niece was able to make it to town to take part in these photos. It was also extra special because we were able to get a great photo of my dad with my niece before he passed away. Anyway- I thought you might need a pick me up, T- so have at it. And tomorrow when I’m crying about being tired, just remember that I at 2:30am I couldn’t make you wait any longer and went ahead and posted this blog. Love, love, love you guys.

This girl makes me feel old! I swear, it was just yesterday that she was a fourth grader in my mom’s classroom. And now- graduating?! Where does the time go? I look at her and see Molly 14 years from now. Eek! But, if she turns out anything like this gorgeous girl, she’ll be alright. S plans on becoming an art teacher- a girl after my own heart! H + Y = Love. {Oklahoma Engagement Photographer}

On a very, very, very hot July evening I met up with H&Y to shoot some engagement photos. I hadn’t met either prior to the shoot, but I felt right at home capturing their story. I love being able to look through the lens to meet someone. Cameras have a way of pulling out the awkward in a lot of people, but I enjoy the test of trying to pull out the natural, at ease look of a couple in love. I’ll let the photos do the talking, as you can tell from just a glimpse how enamored these two are. I’m ecstatic to be photographing their wedding at the Oklahoma Aquarium- it will be a day to remember! H&Y- thank you so much for choosing Mollipop Photography to document your love story. It’s Good to be Three! {Oklahoma City Family Photographer}

I’m so blessed to be able to document some amazing kiddos growing up. C is definitely one of those amazing kiddos! It’s crazy to see how far he’s come with me alone- he used to refuse to look at, smile at, or interact with me & now he’s just the opposite. He’s one of those kiddos who’s serious photos are just as sweet as his smiley ones, though- so it’s always worked out. And, as you can tell, he sure does love his mama! And I can tell you for fact that it is 110% mutual. How could you not love this little face??!! The last photo cracks me up- it’s not only how he felt about it being the last photo- it’s how C & I felt, too (considering it was 1 million degrees out!!!) My client’s mother informed me that she keeps up with my blog…and it had been a lifetime since I had last updated. Yep, guilty. I’ve been ignoring it until I got called out on it. Back at Christmas I was SWAMPED & I don’t think I ever fully recovered. But, I’m going to give this blogging another go…so, since Toni called me out on it- this blog’s for you!

It wasn’t too long ago that I was photographing senior photos of B- and now she’s getting ready for Thunder Girl tryouts! Those girls would be lucky to have B- she is absolutely gorgeous (as you can tell!!), one helluva dancer, & sweet as can be. So here’s hoping I can soon say that I photographed a Thunder Girl! And They Lived Happily Ever After… {Texas Wedding Photographer}

Felt weird to put Texas up there instead of Oklahoma. But it felt great to be asked to shoot this wedding. S was stunning- definitely one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen. R, well, even amongst all the crazy faces he makes, cleaned up pretty well himself! I am overjoyed for S&R&M- not only because of the abounding love I see in their past, present, and future, but also because it meant I gained a cousin and a 2nd cousin, too!
